Empowered by Water to Make A Change!

I click on the left side of my menu bar on my MacBook Pro as I have done thousands of times in the past 20 years. (albeit with varying Apple computers) and I pause. I realize that this is the last blog I am posting “TheJjWay.” I am so honored to put a new hat on my head, ‘Chief Marketing Officer with HydroWorx International.” The hat is a swim cap of sorts. I’m diving into the exhilarating world of water therapy - HydroWorx is Empowered by Water.
Our headquarters, located in Harrisburg Pennsylvania, is an amazing place filled with talented people who are enthused and infused with passion for products that change lives. I now get to help tell the HydroWorx story and the great Worx we do in Sports, Rehabilitation and Wellness!
I look back on 20+ years of growth and knowledge running my own company and I am amazed. My life is a blast. My colleagues are amazing. Every person and event has shaped me to be able to make this leap. I realize that I am a success because of the work we have accomplished together.
I hope you don’t mind a quick tour down memory lane, starting with WOOD TV 8 - where I learned the art of getting information out fast and accurate and remembering to care more about people than the stories they may represent.
Kent Regional 4C and my mentor, friend & first client, Laureen Kennedy, who taught me business, philanthropy and integrity. She continues to do so every day through nudges and whispers on high.
WOOD AM1300- Gary Allen taught me partnership, laughter and intense love for work. Yeah, Toast.
Butterball Farms, Inc., brought big business into my life and placed me on a leadership team who knew strategies and processes create success. Butter IS Beautiful. (Who can forget our Mr. Beurre mascot?!)
Lake Michigan Credit Union brought me financial awareness to business and life. Working with the team daily, bringing the brand to new heights was an incredible adventure. No team had more fun while enjoying the fruits of our labor than we did!
West Michigan Women’s Expo - from 2,000 to 20,000+! To be able to say my partnership with Kohler Expos helped to create the #1 Women’s Consumer Show in West Michigan is something to be proud of! (Who says Women can’t work together! Look what we do together! (March 11 - 13, 2011 - join us!)
Byron Center Meats. The family commitment to quality and customer service is the best in the business. Bar None. Every business should follow their lead.
WJRW AM1340 - “Lynne do what you love to do!” Thank you Matt Hanlon, Eric, Dave and staff! You brought me laughter while learning we can have less stress, more success.
Grand Rapids Community College reinforced in me my passion for learning and taught me that higher education can lead you to higher degrees of integrity.
There are countless others - companies, people, places that have shaped my knowledge and allowed me to go to the next level every time. Thank you to all of you - especially the ones (you know who you are) who gave me the opportunity to balance work and family, helping me raise 6 great kids and run a successful company. Ellie, our youngest, began her travels with her mom at age 3 weeks - and clients let her work right along side us! And I can’t forget the graphic geniuses who helped me make every client I have had “live the brand!”
Finally I am able to reach for my dreams because of my family. My Mom & Dad raised four children with a “yes you can” spirit. My in-laws shower me with love and laughter. My kids make me proud. And my husband Rob gives me wings, all along holding my hand to help me land.
I’ve always said water makes me calm. When I am near water I understand the lyrics “peaceful, easy feeling.” I have been led to water. The kind that heals and rejuvenates people and teams. I share with you my new title and a new chapter in life:
